Dallas Wedding DJs - How To Get the Most Out of Your Wedding Entertainment
As the leaders in the Dallas wedding entertainment industry we get literally thousands of calls per year from brides and grooms that are looking for advice on how they can transform their "ordinary wedding" into an "extraordinary event" that will keep their guests talking for years to come. And after having DJed over 30,000 events, we have a few pointers that we believe every bride and groom could appreciate and begin implementing as soon as possible.
1) Keep your guests in mind when designing your playlist - Nobody is going to know your guests better than you as the couple. The groom knows half of the crowd and the brides knows the other half of the crowd. Thus, you are going to know what music they like and what music they don't. You know if they are a hip-hop crowd of if they are into romantic jazz standars. You know if your crowd is going to need some upbeat music or some laid back country classics. You know the atmosphere you are trying to create. As you begin making up your request list, it is critical that you cross songs of our your list that will not go over well with your crowd. If your crowd is not going to respond well to a certain genre or song title, save yourself the dissappointment and cross it off of your list.
2) Be pragmatic when it comes to planning an outdoor wedding - Without exception, every year we end up providing sound for an outdoor wedding in August. The Bride and Groom end up sweating profusely and many guests end up leaving early because they can't take the heat. If you are going to plan an outdoor wedding, just make sure you factor in the time of the year. You are the boss and the captain of your own ship here. So anything you decide that you want to do, will happen and we will glady make it happen for you, but we never want to help create a scenario that ends with your guests leaving early because of heat stroke.
3) Consider uplighting to change the ambiance of your venue - For many couples, choosing a venue comes down to dollars and cents, and that just makes alot of sense. However, if you find yourself hosting a wedding reception at a place that you are not passionate about, then you are not alone. Many couples find themselves hosting their weddings at a place that does not appeal to them, and that is ok, because uplighting can totally transform the look and feel of your venue. For a few hundred dollars you can transform the entire look of your venue. Uplighting can be adjusted to match the theme of your wedding reception and the colors of your wedding party.
